Pre- & post-assembly activities
List of pre- & post-assembly activities
The EGU General Assembly 2018 will bring ca. 14,500 geoscientists from all over the world to Vienna at the same time. Some of you may use this opportunity to organize events, short courses or workshops in the weekends before or after EGU2018.
To make such events visible to all EGU2018 attendees, we offer the opportunity to list them inside the programme as “sessions” of the dedicated programme group “Pre- & post-assembly activities”. Attendees will see these activities in the online programme as well as in the mobile app, and can add them to their personal programme. Pre- & post-assembly activities are events before or after EGU2018, taking place outside of the ACV and outside of the official EGU2018 conference programme, but still in Vienna and in close connection with the General Assembly.
Please note that short courses that are organised on the Sunday before the General Assembly starts and that are related to the General Assembly are held in the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) and will be considered part of the regular programme in programme group SC.
If you are organizing a pre- & post-assembly activity in Vienna in the week before or after the EGU2018, and you are interested in listing your event in this programme section, please send an email by 1 February 2018 with the following information to egu2018@copernicus.org:
- Title of the event
- Organizers (name and email)
